Yeah,

First half of January, April, July and October are fun :)

And I won't be so sure about PR0, unless you did something really baaaaaad.

I have a couple of websites that have almost no backlinks and I haven't touched them for more then a year. They are still at PR1 or 2.

The last update was January 25th, 2007. The one before that was September 28th,2006. If you do your math it took 4 months, not three.

We all call it the "quarterly pagerank update", that's why we're watching closely right now. It's only been about 9 or 10 weeks since the last one.

Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to it. I just hate it when people start rumors.

The folks at Google are tight lipped, and probably laughing at this post as I speak.

But...I hope you're right!

Well, I reported what I saw. That's why the question mark on the title.

I see lots of PR fluctuations across the blogs I own (on Live PR service). The ones with lots of new backlinks showing PR0 at many data centers. One abandoned dropped from PR4 to PR1 and PR0 on some DCs also.

John Chows blog (in the picture), who got tons and tons of links during last months, is showing the same PR0s on LivePR. Looks like update to me.

Previous PR export was underway on Jan. 10, 2007 already:
http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/infrastructure-status-january-2007/

And last year they had an update on Feb.18 and April 04 as well. If my math is right it took less then 2 months between the two :)
http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page-rank-update-list.html

I don't know how long PR export lasts. It might take some time until everyone is updated , but the way I see it, something is already happening

Thanks for the stats. My data is based on the finish. There a very good source here: http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page-rank-update-list.html

Remember, I also remind people how those Google Dance checkers are against Google's terms of service, and could result in a penalty box.

We all have our sources as far as gathering information. Some of our theories are true, and some false. This comes from Google itself. If you search "google terms" you will see it a few paragraphs down.

Anyway, as I said, I hope you are correct about the update happening now. The sooner the better!

Well, until the PR actually changes in the toolbar, we are all guessing. But that's what makes it fun :)

As for Google ToS, there are a lot of grey areas there. E.g. you can argue both ways if Google PR Checking service is

<blockquote> using any software which sends queries to Google to determine how a website or webpage "ranks" on Google for various queries </blockquote>

They are using software that "sends queries to Google", but they may be not "trying to determine how a website "ranks" on Google for various queries", they are just checking public PR value.

Or they may have express written permission from Google. Because for now Google engineers are turning a blind eye for many of them. Since I usually find Live PR service via google. (It's No.1 result for Live PR).
